AVALON GUITAR LUTHIER NEEDED

Postby MIKE 450 » 12 Jul 2012, 13:24

I was wondering if JB or anyone who worked in ARDS could recommend someone to lower the action on my guitar, if so please send me a private message. I'm aware the pickup is below the bridge, so I don't want to try this myself. I live 10 minutes from ARDS, so no travel worries.

Oddly enough, I am considering doing the same thing on my L32. Nice idea - at least by using an Avalon guy , one, you are guaranteed an expert and two, it puts money in the pocket of someone who needs and deserves it.

I couldn't justify the shipping costs, but luckily I have a tech pretty close who is (or at least used to be) one of Lowden's authorised techs, so he should know what he's doing.

Actually funny thing I also need a luth - my L32C has just developed a 5th fret A string buzz all of a sudden after the weekend. I am based in the midlands (Staffordshire) if anyone knows a safe pair of hands i can get help from, much appreciated.

Many thanks

Hey Mark, if you're close to Northampton you could give Tony Gosling a call http://www.allfrets.co.uk/ he knows his stuff :)

Hey Jim, glad to see that you're still out there and helpfull as ever. I have the same question as John and maybe the other guys at the forum, maybe you can give us some detail of the present situation, since we are still sympathizing with all of you .
