THANKS John/the greypicker

I rang the guy about the Scherler Unico this morning, he just happened to live five minutes drive from my house. The amp was five year's old, he bought it from Marcus Music in Belfast, it was a friend of mine who sold it to him. The amp was in very good condition,only it has a slight crackle when turning the volume up or down. The seller was a very talented 32 year old guitarist and fiddle player, their first child was born so he thought he would need some fast money.

After playing my Avalon though this beautiful amp for 2 minutes, I quickly handed over the 350 quid asking price. After bringing it home I rang my friend who sold the amp to the seller five years ago, he told me "you stole it" he remembered the sale,he owns three of these amps and swears by them.

I must admit that it would have been impossible for me to buy this amp if it wasn't for your early morning email,as I don't check gumtree until I get home from work. Well done John! it proves the early bird does catch the worm,especially when he gets a whistle from from a friend/ brother Avalonite.
