Hey all,

I just found out Martin Simpson is coming to Jersey Arts Centre on the 18th... the same night I have a well paid gig somewhere else...

....arghhh! Just thought I'd vent my frustration amongst people who understand! My wife is just "there'll be other gigs you can go to!".

Living over here, I barely ever get to see great guitar players. Perhaps time I went to the big island (UK) to live!

Typical. I had the same thing happen to me last year: Ahab, a rather tasty little Americana-influenced group, were playing quite locally, but I had a gig at a friend's party.

Small consolation perhaps, but I got quite a nice recording of MS when I saw him in Bristol last month with the Trio and hope to record him again on one of his solo dates in May. Will be happy to send you a copy.
