Avalon Eclipse

Hi Guys

I recently posted this on You Tube. The song is from last year's Eight and Forty CD.

The instruments used are my trusty Avalon Eclipse and Vanden Mandolin; son and daughter and recording engineer on vocals.

Thanks Eric, thanks Jim. :D

There are currently 273 Scottish Munros and I have climbed 205 of them. As you can see, the scenery is spectacular! A bit different to the St John River, but not unlike the Mournes! :D

In the last couple of months I have been teaching myself mandocello and the guitars are a bit neglected. The Eclipse hadn't been out of the case for a while until yesterday, but even with old strings it knocked me out hearing it fresh. :!:

The volume is amazing and it is very deep. It still manages to be sweet when picked softly, though. A friend of mine refuses to believe that I am playing just one guitar in the first part of a track on the last CD. He swears there is a bouzouki on there as well and my engineer loves the overtones the Eclipse kicks out in the studio.

Long may you strum! :D
