Avalon A310C

Hi,

OK my second attempt at owning an Avalon. The first (A32C) was a custom build as it has a nut width of 42mm! Yikes. 44mm is doable but 42mm was too narrow, yes it was only 2mm but it was enough to make it too cramped.

Anyhow picked up a A310C, will report back :D

If that was the one that just went on ebay you got yourself a real bargain! Congratulations! :D :D

I totally agree about the nut size. One of the main reasons my Martins don't get played and my Avalons do is that little extra space at both ends of the string!

Enjoy!

Long may you strum!

Well yes it was.

And I thought so too. Incredible really. These are broadly speaking the same as a Lowden 35 series so it's a LOT of guitar for the money.

Thanks!

Perhaps it's a little unfair comparing Avalons with Lowdens as Avalon's are amazing guitars in their own right!

IMHO Lowdens are one of the very few makes that are comparable to Avalons! Most of the alternatives are blown away in a head to head! :D

Anyway, how sore are the fingers dweezil? Have you put the new baby down yet!!

Wednesday! Bummer! :(

When it arrives after a long winter journey give it chance to warm up to room temperature in the case before opening it. :!:

In the meantime, prepare by re-scheduling all appointments for Thursday and rubbing alcohol into your finger-ends to harden them! :D

Good idea, but I have the trio of Lowdens to play whilst I'm waiting ;-)
