A32J - questions

Postby dweezil » 04 Nov 2011, 09:28

1. Does this have a 'cambered' / curved fingerboard like steel guitar or a flat fretboard like classical guitars?

2. What is the neck depth/profile? Is it deep D or C type profile like classical guitars or is it shallower, more like steel string guitars? What is the depth at the nut for example?

Thanks!

hi dweezil,
1. Yes, our Jazz range (S25J, A32J etc etc) have cambered fingerboards as standard.

2. More of a soft 'C' profile much closer to a steelstring profile with a depth of about 19 - 20mm at the nut. Nut width is typically 48mm on the Jazz nylons.

Thanks!

I did get a nylon but not an Avalon, not because I didn't like them, it's just that something else came up.
