This is me and my L32 one take, no fx or Eq.
I stole the arrangement from Nic Jones, I don't think he'll mind!

Have been following your uploads with interest. I know there has been talk of your style in the other thread, but while I agree vocally there is something in that, I do envy your ability to play in different styles, even within the same song. Jealous? Moi? Too right!!
BTW, did you work this one out or did you find a tab for it - my daughter loves this tune.

The Misi titled clips on that page are just demos of my pickup straight into the soundcard, as someone asked me to do it on the AGF!
That piece is just a way of combining a bass, mid and high (harmonics) to give an idea how the pickup sounds in those ranges with no EQ etc. It's purely improvised, it was all I could think of to do.
You can see how/why here;

Thanks for the kind words on my playing man, I really appreciate that, as you are no slouch yourself!!

I was fortunate enough to hear Nic Jones a few times close up around 1970 and he was a fabulous live performer. (I went the whole hog and bought a Fylde Oberon in admiration!). He stood out among the many greats who were around then.
I always thought his recordings, although tremendous, didn't quite capture that live sound of his. I seem to remember him holding on to the notes a little bit longer and getting more of a drone effect out of those tunings he developed.
Speaking of greats, here's another parent/child song written by Ewan McColl and sung by Dick Gaughan. What an atmosphere he creates with that D28 and his amazing voice?!![]()
