Kyser Lifeguard Humidifier for dehumidifying

I was thinking of getting a Kyser Lifeguard Humidifier for reducing the humidity inside my Hiscox case, where I keep my Avalon L32 when I don't play. The place I live reaches humidity 70-80% some days of the year. Low humidity is rarely an option. So, is there anyone having any experience with using this gadget for dehumidifying the space inside the guitar case?
