TUNING KEY REPLACEMENTS

Postby riverdog » 30 Jul 2010, 13:54

dear avalon,
can i purchase from you any direct replacements for the grover tuners on my s201 that have a more vintage look such as a butterbean or similar? the grovers work fine, this is purely cosmetic to add a vintage look to this small, parlor style guitar. any thoughts or recomendations from you would be appreciated. greypicker if your out there i'd like your 2 cents too...

Hi Riverdog,

Sorry but we don't keep different types of Grover buttons in stock, in fact I think it can be tricky finding replacement buttons of different styles and unfortunately none of the tuners manufacturers use the same shaft size so using buttons from one maker to another doesn't usually work without some 'modification' of sorts.

Stewmac and LMII are worth a look ...

Hope this helps :)
