I never noticed this little thread-Avalon and Worship. Very Weird indeed--because 3 or 4 years ago I was saying my prayers--while asking God to forgive me for being an unworthy sinner and thanking him for all he's love and grace--I also asked him for he's help in my search for a new guitar.

This is no joke it realy happened--not long after- I bought a second hand Avalon 210ce in mint condition. I instantly fell inlove with this guitar--I only paid £300 for it-- I have other guitars but I only play the Avalon, and to this day I thank God for it.--Thanks God.

Brilliant Mike - and so you should! God is Good ALL THE TIME!

Our church (Belfast City Vineyard) has developed into a bit of an Avalon Showroom! 8 out of 10 of our guitarist all play Avalons - so they're well represented! Models range from an L25 to an Americana XL and a Millennium Oak...

I have two Avalons, Praise God. A L320 CE and an A201CE. I use the A201 ALL the time. Tone cannot be matched. I play the other one at home. it has a Spruce top and I am trying to get it to open up all the way. My guitars are dedicated to lifting up the Lord.

The first Avalon I ever heard belonged to a local Pastor, who is a very cool guy and a great guitarist.
He's the one that prompted me to try and get one myself.

Avalon and Worship

Postby riverdog » 29 Jun 2010, 16:57

as i just posted this mornig, i am awaiting my first avalon and my decision to buy an avalon instrument was definitely influenced by the christian community of avalon players and the the reputation of the folks at avalon although i've had no personal contact with them. i have however had much phone contact with the lowden folk back in the late ninties and early 2000's and they were very kind in helping me. this is the first time i've ever bought a guitar without ever playing it and i've never even played an avalon, but i prayed about it and i'm going on their reputation and again the host of christians testimony about avalon. so i can't wait to get her this week! blessings to ya'll from the riverdog!

Any of you local (i.e. in NI?) Might be good to organize a "Avalon Worship players" meet? Thoughts?
