hey all just wanted to let you know i started up a fan page on Facebook in honour of Avalon to help spread the word about Avalon, the forum and the youtube channel and to help start a new community of Avalon lovers on facebook :D without any publicity it's slowly growing and has already started receiving praise from some happy Avaloners :D anyway here's a link to the page, if any of you are on Facebook become a fan and help grow the new community :D

JB if your on Facebook could you let me know so i can add you as administration for the page, that way we can both have a crack at running the page and building it up :) these pages have become an immense marketing tool for businesses as they're free to set up and reach a wide audience whilst simultaneously being able to communicate directly with them, infact a fan page for Coca Cola became so popular that the founders were given jobs within Coca Cola itself heading up the companies marketing campaigns on facebook

Oh and i'm getting my first Avalon in a couple weeks thought i might throw that in as well

that'ad be the facebook group, problem with groups is that the only way to engage with them is to go directly to the page itself which tend's not to make them popular (hense the lack of activity within the group :( ) for that reason fan pages have really taken off as they communicate directly with the fans who can then interact with posts and discussion much easier and they're also much quicker to join

the Avalon groups have been running for some time but have only 89 members with the last post on it being last december, the page i started with no publicity has 35 already! :D there's already been some response from the fans praising Avalon, including someone who recently took a tour of the workshop :D i actually have a couple fan page's on the go with my largest having just broken over 700 fans having been operating for just 2 months 8) so you can see the kind of response pages can achieve :)

come over and join the page! :D we can really grow a new active community on facebook and spread the word about Avalon! :D
