About my Gold series S200C

Postby mspark9 » 07 Oct 2009, 14:29

Hi, I just purchased Avalon S200C and... it's amazing.

Among all the guitars I played at Guitar Center, only Taylor 810

and Breedlove Focus series were comparable. Yet, I preferred

Avalon's natural, clear and deep tone over Taylor's somewhat

reverb-added tone.

Ok, I just want to clarify few things about my guitar

1) My guitar's serial number is 12 245. Could tell me when and where

this guitar was made and how many of this model was produced?

2) As far as I know, tusq saddle and nut is installed on this model.

Would you recommedn switching them with FWI saddle, nut or

Ivory ones?

Thank you for making great guitars!

I'm almost 90% fingerstyle player lol.

Big fan of Pierre Bensusan, Peter Finger, Thoms Leeb(?),

Peppino D'Agostino and etc...

Here there Jerry and welcome to the forums.

Your S200C is one of about 160 Gold's handmade under licence in the Czech Rep.

Saddle choice is really down to what the player prefers, I prefer bone over any other man-made or natural material.
