I'm pretty sure that Andy only used the L32C as his gigging guitar and that it wasn't used for recording. I think he only started using it after most of his albums were recorded.
The Lowden F32 you see on his drifting clip and the L32C were both guitars that his label, Candyrat's owner had in stock, and weren't Andy's guitars originally.
Now, he's playing a Greenfield G4, canadian luthier Michael Greenfield which was built for him...its sister guitar is for sale in Brighton...a snip at £12,995!

Was surprised how good the soundport at the top was at projecting the sound out in a small acoustic setting, seemed almost 3D so would love to hear a ported Avalon.
As for David Gray, I think he used to play Lowdens, but then switched to Martins, didn't he have a sig model with them?
