Bit of a weird one

I've noticed from pics and videos that you guys tend to fit the pre amps on the back half of the body in your jumbo sized guitars (if that makes sense!)

I was wondering if there was any specific reason for this?

Some pre-amps are just too big to fit comfortably on the smaller front bout ... simple as
