A hairline crack in the finish

Postby French_Phil » 09 Apr 2009, 12:00

I received my L32C on Monday; the guitar I was supposed to get last Thursday. Oddly enough, Fedex sent me a complimentary package (some chocolates) apologizing for “difficulty or inconvenience.â€

Hi Phil, hairline cracks can virtually disappear with some 'thin' superglue, finishing paper and some fine steel wool, and most important ... a light touch !

Most good guitar techs can do a touch-up like this very quickly.

Oh thank God :D.

How would it affect the warranty? Would the "repair" person have to be known to you so to avoid the warranty from expiring?

Also, I guess buying a humidifier wouldn't hurt?

A minor lacquer crack repair will not void the warranty, we know an Avalon owner will not let their guitar go to someone they don't trust
