I'm over the moon with my L32, if I could spec a guitar, it'd likely be the same apart from I love the celtic knot "A" headstock, and I'd love snakewood binding, because I have an electric 7 string neck made of snakewood, and it's bloomin' hard stuff...would be a 'mare to work I think, but very resistant to bumps. Doesn't need finishing as it's so close pored.... the feel of it raw is very smooth.

Gotoh 510's too....smooth and no "rock" in the posts.

Wouldn't do anything that changed the sound though, Avalon have got the tone very right IMO, the trebles up the neck, right to the last fret(and I do go up there) are big and fat and don't get lost pedalled against open low strings.

Actually, I recently had the opportunity to play an Estaban. It was an orgasm of the senses. Joking aside, I guess it was okay. Playable, and you get what you can afford. But there are better scores out there for the price. What gets me most is the Zorro shill on TV.
