Hi Walesy,

I've spent a lot of time in the West Country in recent years and on the odd ocassion that I've needed attention to any of my guitars, I've always gone to "Brook Guitars" on Dartmoor. I know this isn't exactly Cornwall but it's only next door and these guys are not only superb luthiers but are extremely helpful and obliging too.

Cheers..........Brian

Hi fellas,

I thought I should update this thread to say that the L32 is really starting to sound and play beautifully now it's had time to relax into it's own environment :D

I think my expectations were far too high, considering the guitar was still being made a week before I took delivery of it! Now after a few weeks it's really playing and sounding every bit as good as it looks! Stunning! :D

Thanks again for the tips, everyone!

Walesy :D

Glad to listen good news from you.
I couldn't believe a L32 not sounding with celestial sounds.

how long are the guys at avalon going to be making the L32? i don't own an avalon but am a big fan, which is why i joined. the L32 is the guitar i'm aiming for, played a Lowden the other day and wasn't impressed however i still have great expectations for the avalon ive been scowering the net for a second hand one in good condition but its not going great . i hope to be able to get one first hand sometime this year if this fails which would be better in the greater skeem of things.

hope its not a taboo to talk about buying one second hand, my first post  . but its a superb guitar from what ive heard and seen on youtube and throughout the net, wanted it since i saw Andy McKee play it on youtube back in september and even more when i saw him live.

The L32 is our most popular guitar, I can't ever imagine us not building it.

Good to know :D brilliant guitar! could do a signature model Andy McKee would be a good idea for one, he's really pushed the Avalon name with his videos. I saw the guitar in his videos on youtube but didn't know who made it, i heard of Avalon after i asked him what he was playing at a gig
