Just heard the sad news that John Martyn sadly passed away on the 29th January 2009, a true legend and a sad loss.

I must admit a lot of my love and inspiration for acoustic/songs like so many young men in Belfast, came from John Martin. Many a party wounld not have been complete without all of us singing" May You Never"

I think I still have my old John Martin concert ticket from about 25 years ago, when he played in Queens University. What a night! Ahh those where the days.
