We had the pleasure of welcoming Tom Baxter to the factory yesterday prior to the last date on the Irish part of his tour in Belfast last night. Tom has been using guitars built by the guys in Avalon ever since our Lowden days - he owns an O25 which features on the 'Better' video. Up until yesterday he also had 2 Avalon's - now he has three! He couldn't put down the Avalon Americana slope shoulder dreadnought, so decided to buy it at 2:00pm and performed live with it on a local TV show in Belfast at 5:30pm! Now he's heading for Glastonbury. If you ever get the chance to see Tom playing live, take it - he's incredible!

Ah yes, it was great day yesterday having Tom and his tour manager Cez pay us a visit.

We'd a few other visitors who just happened to be in viewing our guitars when Tom arrived, needless to say everyone was over the moon to be treated to a private live performance of 'Better' ... he used the D300A Americana for the song.

What a treat that would have been. You lot are so blessed doing what you do. I feel a tad jealous. I'm also a tad jealous of Tom - I wish I had one of those D300A's. Maybe one day.....sigh.

His album, Skybound, is one of my favourites of this year. Glad to see he has impecable taste in guitars!
