Tuning on A310

Postby Moldy » 04 May 2008, 02:32

Hi all,

Loving my A310 that I bought from the b&s forum on this site. After fiveamonths though, I'm still having serious tuning issues. Putting a Capo on seriously sharpens the strings. I've used three types of capos on three sets of strings and it's still happening. The action is lower than on my A101 but the effect is much worse. Anyone have any ideas what the cause is?

Thanks
Rob

Hi Rob - is the tuning fine without the capo and what happens when you tune to with the capo on and then take it off - is the guitar still in tune?

Thanks for the replies guys.

Steve, the tuning is fine without the capo. When I put it on, I have to loosen the strings a fair bit as theyre quite sharp. When I take it off, I have to then sharpen the strings again. The guitar holds it's tunings fine, it's just that a capo seems to take it way out!

Thanks for that advice John, I'll try to leave the capo a bit looser. Problem is, I'll get buzz from the bass strings if I'm not careful.

Thanks,

Rob
