12 string wanted

I would love a 12 string acoustic, but cannot afford to have an Avalon made
Can any kind soul give me advice on this?
I want a mid priced guitar (£250-£300)to play for fun.
Most shops have one or two 12 strings which isn't great. So are there any out there that I should try before I buy?

David, I dont know how they show on your side of the pond, but I picked up my Larrivee 12 (D03-12) for 600 American on eBay. I grew up with an old Crestwood that traveled around with me, then let my daughter have it learn on. The Larrivee build is quite good, and I have no complaints on the sound of this 12.

David, I realise this is a bit late but I have a Simon and Patrick ceder top 12 string it was £270 from sound control if you are still looking for one then try this model as it is the best 12 string I have ever played and I think very good value for money.
