$100 Grand Martin

Postby adhamh » 17 Jan 2008, 06:09

I was just randomly looking at Brazillian Rosewood guitars online and came across this one on the Martin Website that costs $109,999!

Somebody please tell me that this is a joke...or that my eyes are deceiving me! How could any honest guitar maker jusitfy a price tag like this!?

 Looks like you've had a better deal with your Avalon Rio...

This made me laugh,

OTHER OPTIONS: Available left-handed at no additional charge

Really? You mean you'll make me a left handed one without adding to $109999.99 price! Those guys are all heart. :D

That said, I have yet to pick up any Martin that makes me feel special, and I would doubt that even at that price, it would be able to sing to me.

I must say that I do not like that guitar one bit. It looks like something Liberace would have played if he fancied a change from twinkling the ivories.

Exactly! It's so overdone. A few inlays are cool but this is way too OTT for me.

It's pretty sick looking--looks like someone with there entire body tatooed.Think of what you could buy with that sort of money.I can't stand collector's --If I had had that money to spare I'd be happier giving it to the Blind or some other charity--sorry but this is a case of O.T.T.
