I was watching a video there of Andy McKee playing "the friend i never met". I'm pretty sure its an Avalon...but what the heck is it!? It's like an ordinary guitar with a bass guitar built into the top? Was this built in the factory!? Its AMAZING!

Yeah I just had a look at his website there. You're right, its a Ron Spiller harp guitar. I was confused cause all the other videos on YouTube he looks like he's playing an Avalon. But it's actually a Lowden owned by Rob Poland. Maybe this was made at the factory in Newtownards. Anyway, his video of "Drifting" is the most viewed piece of music on the internet ever. Nice to know its an Irish guitar he was playing...

Great player and a nice guy. I saw him recently and he was playing an Avalon. I Think it was an Legacy A32C or an L body. I was proud to play an Avalon!
