A Little lullaby on a Avalon A200

Postby mr335 » 18 Jun 2007, 23:26

Howdy friends,
I just equiped my Avalon A200 with as Schatten Design Active Pickup System and recorded a little lullaby for a baby not yet born.
So maybe some of you like and it may help getting some good sleep :-)

BTW: I love my A200. This guitar realy inspires me.
Best to you all from Germany.

Very impressive Roland ... is it the HFN system you have fitted ?

I might have to consider getting some to test, they seem to produce a very natural, clean acoustic response :)

Cheers

the greypicker: That is really beautiful! Anthing that sounds that good at 6 a.m. must be really special!

You have a really smooth, balanced tone there and each string comes out clearly in the mix. The pick up system definitely works.

It would be great to hear some more of your tunes. Thanks!

Thanks for your warm words, John! I will post new songs whenever I've recorded some. I am happy that people like the music, it's a good way to receive feedback before I play them live. And yes - the Schatten System is just great!

Best to you!

Thanks Jim, yes it is the HFN system. Very easy to install and not as expensive as Schertler. Just got email that Schatten deliver the new preamp version that is capable to connect another source (mic, mag-pu) to it. I will order the new preamp asap. Hope to gain some more punch and controll in a live situation. The Avalon guitars make me almost forget that I play(ed) mainly electric guitars.
Best, Roland

Update

Postby mr335 » 27 Jun 2007, 23:38

Dear all!
Here is another version of 'Cecilia'. Of course the wonderful Avalon A200 again. I just bought a Art TUbe V3 preamp to avoid digital coldness and rerecorded the piece... I think it does a good job. I also improvised a little intro and changed some parts. Hope you still like it. Next week I am going to record 2 other songs. One from Franco Morone - a wonderful italian guitarist.

Best to you
