Width of nut and fingerboard? Actual?

Postby jcstrings » 05 Dec 2006, 19:15

Hi, I am looking at a 101CE and realize the nut and fingerboard width at the 14 fret are not really what the specs on this website say.
Has anyone actually measured their guitar to see if it is 44mm and 56mm wide?
I would be interested to hear what you find,
Thanks

Depends on whether you mean an A101CE made by us here in N.I. or you mean an AS101CE made in Korea under licence !

The Gold A101CE (or D)should be pretty darn on spec unless it has a custom neck.

A Silver AS101CE (or DS) will probably be something like 42 / 54 or there abouts.

Wow, that was a fast reply,
i mean the AS101CE, so thanks.
I wish your spec sheet could reflect that.
I just bought this, and ordered it sight unseen, and expected it to be wider.
Nice little guitar.
The fingerboard width is really important to me, since i play a lot of classical as well.

Thanks,

JC

Are you still making the golds in Newtownards then? I though the golds were transfered to the czech republic a while back. :)

We do .... there were many people wanting Irish Gold's so had to keep on making them :D

While people keep wanting them we'll keep making them ... but we don't do a gloss finish on them, only the higher grade satin finish same as the Legacy finish.
