My fishman rare earth pickup was playing up in my gorgeous Avalon L201, so i took it to my local guitar dealer in Auckland (New Zealand) and they sent it off to be repaired.
Having fixed the pickup They decided it was fitting to remove the jack socket and move it to where the wooden endpin was, replacing the other hole with an ugly ill fitting piece of black rubber. They did this without consulting me at all.
Obviously I was very happy with where the original jack socket had been, and was very happy with my lovely wooden end pin, and was very happy not having a piece of black rubber wedged in the side of my guitar,
I've called and left a message with the repairer, and asked him to restore it to original status or replace the guitar.
Am i being totally unreasonable?
I feel very sad
