What's the difference between an aliphatic resin like Titebond Original and a PVA like Evo-stik (not the waterproof stuff, the green bottle), and why, if both claim to give a bond stronger than the wood itself, most of my guitar making pals insist that I'm better off using the aliphatic?

None of them know, it just seems to be "written" if you know what I mean.
