Hiscox Case

Postby Mart » 09 Jun 2006, 10:10

Well, I reckon this is a question for JB

I have recently bought myself beaut. l32c (lefty) which came with a hiscox case but I think the case is growing! Either that or the guitar is shinkin!! The padding in the case is just is not giving the support that the dear twanger deserves. Is it pos. to have Avalon re pad the case?

I got the guitar at a v. good price so do not want to start gettin, fecky with the shop I bought it from.

Hi Mart

The case normally has 4 pads fitted to the sides where the body of the guitar slides in.
There are 3 different thickness's of foam in the pad and maybe Hiscox have put the thinner foam in and they've compressed a bit.

Altho' the pads are glued to the sides of the case the top of the pad pouch is open but tucked in between the case outer and inner shell so it's fairly easy to gently pull the excess out and put more foam in.

:? hope I've explained that right .... if not you can always call me at the factory and I'll explain it.

Cheers
Jim
