Hey,
Does anyone know if they're having a guitar show in Cheltenham this year? (google gave me nothing for 2009, which is a bad sign...)

If so, will Avalon be there...?!

This is baffling us too ... no word from the organisers and no trace can be found on the net - their web domain seems to have gone to seed. If the show was on, we'd certainly want to be there.

Things do seem quiet on the guitar show front in the second half of 2009. We're doing Ullapool 9 - 11 October (a bit out of the way from England) and the Ards Guitar Fest 1 - 4 October (on our doorstep). We will have a decent collection of guitars on show in Eastbourne (Winter Gardens) from 13 - 15 November at Mission:Worship which, so far is the only show in England we've booked to be at.

There is usually a website by now, with publicity in the guitar mags in June/July editions and a luthier friend of mine who has exhibited there the last couple of years has heard nothing.

exactly what i was just looking for, and this thread is at the top end of the list in google, no website for it

dissapointing, i have friends in Bath i could have stayed with for it or taken the drive up and back from the valley, would have been well worth the trip

is there normally a good turnout for it? if so then i dont get why it wouldn't be on this year, how long has it been running?

Some months ago, after reading some posts here I decided to go to a festival in Ireland.
I don't remember which one, but it was gonna be in October.
Since that moment I'm trying to convince my wife to go there (she hates flying, real panic).
I thought it was close to the Avalon factory.
For those who know:
1. Is there any guitar festival this year really good? (for going from Madrid?)
2. Is the factory opened on Saturdays?
3. That great festival, is it close to the factory?

One big stopper is that it seems there are no direct flights from Madrid to Belfast.
