First Youtube Clip - Logan Water

Hi, I;ve just managed to successfully upload a clip to Youtube of me playing an Celtic Air called Logan Water - or Logan's Water I'm not too sure which. The guitar is my wonderful Avalon A335 - what a guitar!! Check it out and let me know what you think.

I'm not normally looking quite so miserable, but it was boiling hot in that room, and I was having problems galore with my preamp.

Thanks guys, it's actually a bit of a departure from my normal playing, but I heard it on a old Stefan Grossman LP (a slight departure for him as well), and thought I would love to play that.

The guitar is superb though, it makes anything and anybody sound good!

I recorded the sound through the pickup in my guitar to my PC. The pickup is a K&K Trinity system - very nice.

I then converted the recording to a WAV file. I then imported the video to a PC using a video capture card.

Then I used Windows Movie Maker to synch the sound to the video - which was not a problem free experience!!

Some people can get really good recordings straight through the camcorder, but it can also sound a bit rough.

Cheers John - it really is some guitar. It suits the more bluesy stuff I normally do, and it also really suits open tunings for all different styles.
