Fishman Split saddle query

Postby Trev » 19 Apr 2006, 15:10

:? Does anyone know? the Fishman matrix installed in the avalons with split saddles, its the natural matrix 1 with the added low end boost, does fishman amke one without the bass boost? a more natural flatter sound? as i find at times it just swomps everything and you can get nasty feedback.

we always use the natural 1 but there is a natural 2 ... you'd need to talk to a fishman tech guy to get a proper definition of the different no doubt.

or you could just wire it passively .... pick-up straight to jack socket, we've had to do that for a few customers who don't want active systems.

Fishman split saddle

Trev

The best pick up honestly that i have heard to date is a Schatten
Made in Canada and cost about $175 CDN

It also goes under the saddle so you basically drill through the end pin
I have tried LR Baggs, B Band and 3 different Fishman and it has the best and truest acoustic sound with very very minimal feedback
