legacy premier and standard series

Postby timcampbell » 19 Mar 2006, 14:44

hi, just wondering what the major difference between the premier and standard legacys is? is it just cosmetic or is do the better woods make a noticable difference on the tone?
thanks, tim

Hi Tim

2 main differences, wood selection and appearance.

We select the better grade of timbers for our Premiers which normally enhances the sound properties.
Extra work goes into the guitar at different stages adding higher spec decorative bindings, back-seam, neck binding etc and the 5 piece neck.

Alot of our Premiers have also had the Celtic Knot Abalone inlay added to the headstock :)

Abalone Shell Celtic knot has a full retail of approx £300 but a lot of our Premiers coming through and we've added the inlay but not the cost, just a bit of a bonus for those that buy a premier guitar.

:D

Cheers
