Set up

I have just bought an Avalon A32 CE which is great, particularly amplified and my guitar playing has taken on a new lease of life. The only thing I am wondering about is that I have not had the guitar 'set-up'. I do find difficulty holding down barre chords at the high frets(9+) and wonder if I should get it set-up. The only time I have had a guitar set -up before was my cheap electric. Any ideas please? Thank you
