Strings for DADGAD?

I'm thinking, now my L32C is coming up 9 months old, that she's settled in now and would benefit from a proper custom set up. She's currently my main alternate tunings machine - chiefly DADGAD and CGCGCE ( or variants of both). Was thinking of getting a set up done with bespoke DADGAD strings if it's worth it - eg the Bensusan Wyres or D'Addario DADGAD True Mediums. I realise tuning back up to standard might raise the action a bit using heavier strings (which I know she could take, as Rick uses 13s on his), but would like to make her as fast as possible for my main style of play. Any thoughts on this, folks?

(And if you know of any decent techs in the Cardiff/Bristol area it would be much appreciated too.)
