There's absolutely no reason to tie strings on, we've seen plenty of horror headstocks with crazy winding methods, here's one that recently came in for a setup, made me laugh ... and people wonder why their guitars strangely go out of tune for no reason at all ... !!

When my two sons were small boys I warned them about the dangers of"Cowboy String Replacement"

These Cowboys seem to ride along side their guitar on horseback waving the string above the head screaming YE HA YE HA. They lasso the peg of the horrified guitar, jump of their horse and tie it in a BIG BLOODY KNOT.

These same Cowboys spend the rest of their life trying to tune their guitar, they also like to brand their guitars with names like NIRVANA--Kurt Coban, a popular brand in the sixties/seventies was the PEACE brand.

Hard luck John you may have lost a couple of nails they will grow again in time. Sadly the tiny brains of the above mentioned will never grow.

But joking aside I must admit to loving the sight of a tortured guitar, so if anyone has any pics or stories about COWBOY GUITARS Let us know. LOL!

Crazy!! I guess they never heard of wire cutters? I just wrap once and cut. Very clean and no sound difference.
