I have two of the Furch-made Avalon Golds, a D200 and an L100C. I can't find much in the way of specs for the woods that were used, and I'd like to know details, as I'm trying to learn as much as possible about the characteristics of different woods and their impact upon the sound of the guitar.
The D200 is spruce and rosewood. I assume Indian Rosewood, but can you please confirm; and what variety of spruce is used? The German or "European" variety?
Also, what is the binding material? It looks like mahogany or American Sycamore, but use of the latter seems highly unlikely to me considering the place of manufacture.
Similar questions re the L100C. Where is the mahogany from? What variety of Spruce? What is the binding material? (I don't have a clue.)
Many thanks!
