Just took Delivery of my new Avalon guitar....

yet to take it out of the case (due to my parents wanting to be around when I open it.......it's a birthday present), but I'm sure it will be absolutely marvellous, and I'm itching with excitement already and don't know how I'm going to cope for the rest of the day!

It is.......a..erm.......Banjo

Jokes!

It's a Premier Auditorium with spruce top, amazaque back and sides, cutaway, and a pickup! (not quite sure how the number naming system works, i would guess an A310c maybe.....)

It's my 18, and I decided to celebrate that rather than my 21st, because it meant I got a bigger present this year.......I may live to regret that decision when i'm turning 21!

Sweet. That should be one mighty fine guitar. Although an Avalon Banjo might be interesting.....

By the time you turn 21 everyone should hopefully have forgotten what a big deal they made of your 18th. And even if they don't you'll still have a great guitar!! :)

And maybe by my 21st i will have saved enough money to buy another fantastic guitar, and then play away my sorrows that no-one has bought it for me!

Ok so I opened it, and it's all in one piece, and sounds amazing, thank you to everyone at Avalon who had a hand in building it!

I have yet to plug it in, as it was 10.30pm when it was opened, but that will happen today!
