Avalon A310CE

Postby Steve Adams » 05 Aug 2008, 21:54

Hello...
I bought my Avalon A310CE in 2006 from Sheehans in Leicester.
Could you give me details about the materials, model and date of manufacture please? The number is L-000109.
When I went looking for an electro acoustic I don't think I'd heard
of Avalon, but after trying a few guitars the 2 Avalons I tried stood
out by a mile. The A310CE is a fabulous guitar and I feel very
fortunate to own it. Thanks for making such brilliant guitars!

All the best...

Steve.

Hello Steve, there seems to be quite a gathering of owners in the East Midlands :) It's probably best to post your serial number here, then JB will be able to tell you exactly when it was made and what woods were used.

Hi Brewster, thanks for that :) I think the number I mentioned is the serial number -
L-000109, that's the one on the label inside the guitar and on the warranty certificate.

Yes, there are more Avalons about than I'd realised. I'm still suprised I didn't know about them before I found this one...

Hi Steve, Nov03 for you A310CE.

Glad to hear your thoughts on your Amazaque / Spruce Premier, I personally think the Amazaque wood doesn't get the recognition it deserves as a tone wood.

I agree, Amazaque is a great tonewood and my A310 sounds just wonderful.

P.s. Isn't the new Sheehans great!

P.p.s Just how many midlanders have we got on here?

Thanks JB!
The tone is spot on and keeps wakening me to new depths of sound! It just gets better and better, the more I put in the more the guitar reveals its potential and capabilities... Thankyou! :D

Hi Moldy, I haven't been to the new Sheehans yet but I will the next time I'm out that way... sounds like you're enjoying your A310 as much as I am mine!

All the best...

Steve.
