I am close to getting a used 2003-4 Avalon A200 Gold Series. Seems like a nice guitar.

Where was it made?

What would be the approx value in US dollars. It is in great cond.

Yes, made in Ireland with retail cost now of $3200 ... 2nd hand value is hard to say as it's dependent on condition but I suppose in decent condition $1400 - $1800 is a ball-park amount.
