New Legacy A32C-12

Postby onemanband » 10 May 2008, 12:57

I have been playing a Takamine EAN40C 12string as my main gigging guitar for the last ten years............a fine instrument.......but.........
after aquiring an Avalon A200CE last year for 6 string applications and being stunned by the sound, I have decided to invest in an Avalon 12 string.

Ross asked me to post some pictures of the progress so, here goes. (I hope this works as I'm a photobucket virgin)!

Should be completed by late June and I can't wait to see and hear what I am confident will be a superb instrument, then the real enjoyment begins.......gigging with it!!

Just like to say a BIG thank you to you Jim for all your patience, help and advice.
Brian

WOW. That is looking seriously good. I have previouly owned an A32C (6 string) and it was a superb guitar. This 12 string version will be killer. :D

Isn't it good to get pictures of your guitar being built ? It's a much more personal approach than getting one off the shelf, and it makes the wait more bearable too :P .
And this looks like it's going to be a stunning guitar, really nice woods. I have an Avalon L32-12 string and it beats everything else I have ever played.
Please keep us posted !

For those who have asked and are interested, here are the latest build photo's of my L32CE-12, It's looking so promising, and I am looking forward with so much anticipation to playing this beautiful instrument.
Thanks for the private messages of advice and interest and particularly to Jim at Avalon, a superb ambassador for the company, who has so much time for his customers, making sure everything in the project is spot on, (a point that is made so often on this forum)!

Wow... the super-stiff 9-piece neck. That's a good idea for a 12-string, I have it on mine too.

As mentioned so many times on this forum, Jim and the others I have spoken with at Avalon, have been patient, helpful and totally committed to providing exactly the right advice and information.............thank you!

No doubt, you'll be more than happy with it. I recently had a D32 made and sent here to the states. The guitar is great, as was the overall service. Congradulations on selecting a fine instrument. I'm sure it will give you years of enjoyment.

For those who have asked and are interested, here are the latest build photo's of my L32CE-12

Hey Brian:
I notice that you refer to this as an L32 but some of the earlier pictures have A32 taped on the wood. Is it an A32 or L32?

Looking good Brian. 8)

You'll miss the updates and the aniticipation once it's safely in your hands - but you'll have a top quality guitar to take your mind off it.

No worries. Avalon is currently building me an A32C (6 string), so I was just curious. That is a beautiful instrument, congratulations. :!:
