Avalon customer service

Postby tcamp22 » 08 Apr 2008, 13:20

I just wanted to say that recently I have ordered an Avalon guitar (D32), and I thought I should comment on the customer service.
I have had a good deal of correspondence with Jim, and I find the personal attention, attitude and overall friendliness as good as you can find anywhere in any business. I dont have the guitar yet, but I am not concerned about the quality, workmanship and great sound that I will be getting out of this instrument. I KNOW it will be what I expect. When I add on the attention that customers recieve and desire of the company to please and work with its customers, I dont think anyone would disagree that the Avalon guitar company is truely a class act.

100% true. Not another guitar company like them. Great guitars, great service. That's what makes them so good... Their in a league of their own for sure.

I totally agree. When I ordered mine from the factory last year Jim was not only happy to answer all my questions over a protracted period of time, but also provide me with photos at various stages of the build and not seem to be the slightest bit annoyed at the fact I was excitable as a 5 year old on Christmas Eve every time I called. A truly excellent service in a world where such customer care seems to be becoming much rarer.

I can't find fault with the service either.I've recently bought a silver series DS100E and the response from the company to any questions has been immediate and ( I'll say it again ) FAULTLESS !! :D

Customer Service

Postby Redwood Lover » 20 Apr 2008, 12:54

I would have to agree that Avalon's customer service is superb. I bought a A25 Redwood at Christmas. I had been to all the music shops in Belfast at least 5 times and couldn't find anything I was happy with. 30 mins in the factory and help from JB I was sold. I just couldn't put the redwood down. Answered all my questions, provided more help than I could ever have asked for and I feel that if I have a problem that they are more than willing to help.
I now tell all my friends who play that if they are buying a new guitar to check the factory first!!!!

Having recently commissioned a 12string legacy build, I just had to post and endorse ALL the comments above.
Beautifully crafted instruments combined with close attention, advice and empathy from JB.............a perfect combination!!

It's been true of this group of gentlemen for as long as I've known them and known of them. Accordingly, I bought my Avalon with utmost confidence. I recommend them and their guitars to anyone without hesitation.

Well, I received the guitar I ordered a couple days ago. A D32e (electric pickup). First, it was shipped on a Tuesday, and receivied in the USA (Colorado) the following Satruday. Not bad for half way around the world. No customs delays, and no duty.

The guitar was packed and packaged for travel very well. The Hiscox case is well padded, so there is little to no shake in there to begin with. Then, the box is packed well on top of that, so when Avalon is shipping a new guitar, it will pretty much make it in pristine shape unless they drop it out of the plane from 30,000 feet.

The guitar itself plays very well. and the workmanship is great. I have no negatives whatsoever to say.

Customer service has been superb. No negatives in any regard. Avalon is a class act. If you are looking for an upper end guitar, I dont think you could do better in any category. Sound, looks, workmanship, and service.
