JB, Just bought a L32CE. Can you give me an opinion?

Postby rocksteady » 28 Mar 2008, 05:46

Hi JB,
I liked the D200CE so much (once I set it up), That I bought a brand new L32CE with Hiscox liteflite case on ebay. I offered $1500.00 USD ( it was $2337.00 USD and they accepted my offer! I was surprised. they accepted it within 2-3 minutes. I should have offered less:). If you don't mind, I would like your opinion if you think this was a good deal. I know your are probably busy, but I would really appreciate it.

I posted the link. Would you mind looking at it and offering your opinion? I would have like it to have the fishman blend with a condensor. It has I think a prefix, but looking at Fishman's site, I don't see one just like it. Can you tell me what model it is?

Do you think the sound will be noticably different ? superior to the Gold D200CE that I recently purchased?

I hate buying guitars without playing them but I have no choice Where I live.

If any others would offer there opinion, It would be welcomed.

What can I say... I am hooked on Avalon guitars! Years from now the price will not matter.

Thank you, and God bless, The link is below my name.

It looks like a D model to me.

I see what you are saying. It a Dreadnought model, not a Jumbo which the L32C right? I thought the L stood for "Legacy" but when I went to the Avalon site I saw the different letter prefixing the models.

I looked at the auction and it is indeed a D32CE but still an irish made Legacy Avalon according to the seller.

Will the sound be improved over the Gold DC200CE that I now have and is the price that I paid a good deal as I had hoped it was?

Thanks again for your reply,

Don

Hi Don, a very good price at $1500 well done. The pickup is the Fishman Prefix with our face plate.

It is one made by us here in Northern Ireland and definitely a D32CE. The sound will be different ... better is in the ear of the beholder, but certainly more responsive giving a wider range.

Cheers

Awesome!! thanks JB. Just curious though since I did mention the L32C, Other than the obvious body styles, what is the main difference between that madel and the D32C?

Sorry to bother so much with questions but I really am interested in these guitars. I did a search but I cannot find this question.
