I just joined the forum. I live in NJ, USA and just picked up a Carl Verheyen. Really sweet guitar. I also have a Lowden 032 and a Martin OM-28 Marquis. I am trying to earn to play in the Celtic style, if anyone could help with that I would appreciate it. I Pastor a church here in NJ.

Hi Joe, A warm welcome to the forum and congratulations on acquiring your new Avalon Carl Verheyen guitar. I don't possess one of these fine guitars myself, but I know several players who have one and the feedback I get from them from time to time is how great a gigging guitar it is.

The main reason for my input here however, is to point you to a great on-line resource if you're interested in learning celtic fingerstyle - our main clinician in Ireland is a fine fingerstyle player called Darren Moan. Darren runs an on-line guitar school which you will find here: http://www.trinityguitarschool.com/
