finger & flatpicking recommendation?

hello everyone

I'm off to Sheehans (leicster) on Tuesday (25/01/05) with my heart set on an Avalon.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a model that would suit both Mississipi John Hurt style fingerpicking, and bluegrass style flatpicking.

I realise this might be a compromise but i'm a one guitar kind of person:)

PS: I finally have enough money to buy whichever model would best suit, so this isn't a consideration.
(never thought i'd say that:)
