Avalon neck profiles

I understand that Avalon guitars have two neck profiles : a slimmer one for the Gold series and a fuller one for the Legacy series.

I have a Gold and a Legacy, but the Legacy is a 12-string with a much wider neck (and possibly thicker too ?), so I cannot really compare.

Is there anyone who has played both ? Which profile do you prefer ?

I have had a Gold and now have a Legacy,I did,t notice any differance in the neck profile when i received my Legacy,but by then I had sold my Gold. Maybe you would have to have both models simultaneously to notice the differance. Perhaps JB can clear this up.
I would be quite interested to know what the differance (if any)is.

I think Jim mentioned this difference in profile in one of his posts.

Looks like a small difference, if you didn't notice it.

It's a very small difference ... and the Gold profile does'nt have the "volute" at the top of the neck ... this allows for a slimmer carving into the headstock, but it is very slight.

The difference only has to be slight to be noticeable, ever wonder why you can pick up two guitars, one with a 44mm neck and one with a 45mm and you can feel the difference easily ? .... that's how sensitive a guitarists hand are to change, even though we're only talking about 1mm it's there !
