L32 How old?

Postby JCH » 03 Feb 2008, 11:06

Hi

I've been wanting (lusting after) an Avalon for awhile and bought an L32 yesterday. Oh joy, I can't stop playing it, the sound, the feel, the clarity, wonderful. I just wanted to confirm the woods, I beleive it's spruce and Indian rosewood with a mahogany neck. Also wondered about the age, the serial number is L-000218.

I was told it was bought from a lawyer who had been paid in guitars by yourselves after a court case. is this true?

Anyway love the guitar and appreciate the forum.

Cheers, Jon

Thanks JB. I'm still interested to know whether the woods and construction are the same as the current L32, and if the lawyer story is true.
Cheers, Jon

The woods and construction will be the same except for the neck ... we've recently upgraded the necks on our Legacy range from 2 piece to 5 piece and all necks are bound now.
