Avalon Nut Width /SPecs??

Postby play2praiseHim » 13 Dec 2004, 00:06

Hi. I need to know the standard nut width on a L-25. Also, a description of the neck profile would be great!! What is the nut and bridge pins made of? What color/kind of cases come with them from the factory??

The Legacy neck profile would be classed as a standard "C" shape with a slight taper from nut to heel.

nut 22mm - 22.5mm - 23mm heel this is of course before the fingerboard is cambered and fretted. (all necks are hand-carved)

The nut width is 44mm

The bridge pins are normally ebony with a mother of pearl dot.
We use a Hiscox case as standard available in any colour as long as it's black

44mm =1 3/4 , if my memory serves me correctly. Bone nut and saddle, or tusq, or other on these guitars?

Just think - some poor animal has had to give up a rib or something in order for you to find your perfect partner... hold on that sounds familiar... ;)
