My a100c string height

Thanks for the feedback so far

I measured my Top e string (bass) from the furthest point at the bridge area
( so the bottom of the string to the soundboard)
It is 11 mm high

I dont think i want to go much lower than this as a rule of thumb I heard is that this should be about 1/2 inch

I was playing some Larrivees on the weekend that somehow felt easier to play and did not need as much finger pressure while doing simple G and C and D chords

Correct string height should be measured from the top of the crown on the fret to the bottom of the string at the 12th fret.

We typically set them to 2.4mm on the bass E and 1.8mm on the treble E altho' this is too low for me, I re-set mine to about 3.5+mm far better and increased tone and still easy to play.

Mine is 2.5 at 12th on top string and on the low e it is 2.1

Could i correct this my sanding the saddle down a bit?

in theory yes .... but probably not by very much.

So your low e is higner than the high e ? It should be the reverse. Maybe you can file down the saddle at an angle to lower the treble side to about 1.8 mm and keep the bass side the same height. It takes some experimenting to find the proper saddle height, depending on the string gauge and the way you play. I'm always short of saddles...
