The Irish Golds...

Postby ramsa » 19 Apr 2006, 23:59

Here's an idea...
Have anyone that can prove they own a serial numbered Gold series from Ireland qualify for an additional small holographic sticker that proclaims 100% Irish construction from Avalon.

It could be a cool Celtic design, and small enough to fit on the existing label. Maybe have authorized dealers verify that ONLY Irish Golds would get ahold of the stickers?

I'd stick one in my Gold, for sure...

That way, the 1,000 or so that are made in the Irish homeland would have no doubt proof of the construction origin.

Easy? Maybe.
Cool? You betcha.
Dreaming? Probably...

I think a little gold Celtic knot would be awesome inside my guitar...

Does it need to be holographic? What about just the avalon logo and the words "Made in Ireland"

Tangent - Technically speaking Avalons are made in Northern Ireland which means they are made in the UK. Not that it particularly matters. The important thing is that the guitars are made by talented luthiers with a dedication to producing the best possible guitars, which, of course, they are. :)

I thought that all the gold series were made in the Northern Irish factory and only the silvers were made in Korea!?!?!
Is this correct!?

It is except for a small number .. about 120 golds that were made in the Czech Rep .... these were full solid wood and very good guitars but all went to the USA
