Avalon Legacy L32

Hi all,

I need a little advice.

Can any users of the L32 give me some ideas what to expect from it in terms of sound, finish and playability. Up to now I have played a takamine en40c, nice electro but lacking in tone when recording/writing. Its a good workhorse but no throughbred if you know what I mean.

What can I expect to pay for one ( can't seem to find any here in Cornwall )

I play what I call hip-hop country and western, ( a new genere of cutting edge music, much played in my front room)

Look forward to any advice.

Kind regards

John

Hi John and welcome to the forums :D

For me the L32 is just awesome, I play the premier version and the volume is huge. The rosewood / spruce mix give a really good deep throaty bass response but you don't loose the trebles .. they are still there nice and clear.
The beauty of the jumbo is all the notes in chords remain clean, no muddling of notes here :)
The L32 doesn't fall down anywhere ... no kidding ... strumming, fingerstyle, flat-picking ... a breeze.

I was always a cedar top player but since moving to spruce top last year there's no going back ... I'm smitten !

If you're having trouble finding one please give me a call at the factory and I'll do my best to help you out one way or another

Cheers
Jim

Many thanks Jim,

I've always played cedar topped guitars 'till now, just because that what was there in the shops at the time I was buying.
I have a few leads on a couple of L32's but they both entail buying blind so I really do have to trust the descriptions of sound and quality from the users here on the forum and from the seller.

I will let you know what happens. Fingers crossed.

Thanks again

John
